Why can one can contain two standard drinks?
Container size and ABV both affect the total. A 473 ml strong beer can contain substantially more alcohol than a 355 ml beer at 5% ABV.
Do cocktails count as one standard drink?
Not necessarily. A cocktail may contain multiple spirit measures, so each ingredient and pour size should be included.
